I think we have other guys higher on our board than oliver

I think we'll test the waters with guys like Bridgewater and Marquise Williams (NC).
Anyone else from out of state that I'm missing?

Yeah, I also think we make a strong pitch for Bridgewater, but failing that, C.J. Uzomah is probably the only OOS we have a reasonable shot at.
Zach Oliver would be a no-brainer if not for 5.3 speed - or lack thereof - in the 40. Kid needs to get the Russian coach that turned white kids into world-class sprinters.
The Ensminger kid from Hahnville is intriguing. Saw him a few times this season. Decent arm strength, good runner, might have potential.
But the real hidden gem could be Stevie Douglas. He looks like a skinny Gomer Pyle on the field. If the 4.6 40 time and 60-yards to a piling are not urban legend, then all I can say is give him one year, a weight room, and a Shoney's buffet, and that kid could be sick!

We'll get Marquise Williams if Miami doesn't offer. If they do he's going there. It seems we are recruiting him the hardest.A few miami guys fell Bridgewater will leave the state and play in the SEC.I'm not sold on him as a qb but would take him and give him a shot.If not he could be a beast wr.Worley will be hard to get away from UNC.Texas has 3 top qbs Walsh,Ash and I can't think of the other.Walsh commited to Okie St. the other day and we'll have to see who Texas takes.Uzomah is a good kid that is open at the moment but hasn't mentioned LSU that I've seen.He comes on ThaRinger and posts.May have a shot if we push.

micheal brewer is the other qb from texas

I think we will get either Bridgewater or Marquise Williams. Somehow, Bridgewater has a tie to Louisiana and LSU I thought I remember reading. Both are real great recruits, and I can't get a real feel on Marquise but Bridgewater plays a lot like Jacory Harris

I hope he is the second coming of Dan Marino but based on his highlights, I just don't see it. I'm not sure the kid has ever had any real coaching. He will definitely be a "project" if we sign him.

I think we have a great shot at Williams. Didn't know he really wanted a Miami offer though.

That's what I heard. I expect him to go to Miami or leave the state. Right now, he's sold on Georgia.
Interesting quote from a recent article on Scout; he said it's important to go to a school that graduates a large number of African Americans. Thought that was an interested quote and certainly a worthy desire. Not sure how we stack up agains other schools.

Grambling lock

It isn't up to the school to graduate anybody. If the coaches recruit people who want to get a degree, and they put forth the effort, they'll graduate. Schools with shitty graduation rates should have their coaches to blame, not some history professor.

i think we will have a legit shot with David Ash
maybe a little less so with Stephen Rivers

Where's this kid from? Pretty darned good for a sophomore. I think there are some concerns with the amount of air he puts under the ball. Good DB's are going to pick him off quite a bit if that continues. He had 18 ints according to the stats. I was VERY impressed with the receiver number 84! What year was he in last year and if not a senior, has he been recruited and signed by anyone? He made some great catches and some great yards after the catch!
