Bayou Bash notes...... food, people, beer etc....

Had a great time with my brother at the bash today. The beer was cold and the food was good. Didn't see but a couple of drunk people but they weren't "out of control". Got to shake hands with Bubby Brister, Bill? Romanowski and Matt Flynn. Got to hear Les Miles say "we will rush the ball" and "we have the best athletic facilities and the best PROFESSORIAL University in the U.S."
The food vendors that were there.....
Rotolos Pizzaria
Drusilla Seafood
Walk Ons
The Roux House
Schlitz and Giggles
Bears Grill?
Roccos Poboys
Mike Andersons
Papa Johns
Copelands
The Olive Garden
Pluckers
Monjuni's
Voodoo Barbeque
BJ's Brewhouse
Poches Market and Rest.
Tiger Burger
Krispy Kreme
Blue Bell Ice Cream
Monster Energy Drink
If you didn't get full, you were either sick or weren't hungry. I've heard bad stories from a few people about the quality of the food at past bashes. I thought it was all above average.
The baseball INTIMIDATOR sign auctioned off for $1800 and the 405 sign from center field went for $500. The band was loud and sounded great. I would recommend going to the bash for any Tiger fan. Get there around 1 pm when the food is rolling and hang out till the band plays. It was a fun time for me.

Hey Dad, good seeing you at the Bash. Did you win anything in the silent auction?

Former football players at the Bash:
Matt Flynn
Johnny Robinson
Josh Reed
Lionel Turner
Gabe Northern
Tyson Jackson
Quinn Johnson
I got a 2007 Cutera jersey from the silent action, as well as a volleyball signed jersey, and the complete set of the baseball cards from last year.

Was that the jersey you showed us yesterday asking us if we thought it may be a 2003 jersey?

No, that was a jersey off Craigslist, and was 2001 (the guy said it was a 2003).

I tried sneaking in about 3:30 but they wouldn't let me. I was talking on a cell phone trying to look like i worked there.
I work within walking distance and just couldn't get away.

He was at one of the front tables in the VIP section?

Food was better, and more vendors than previous years, drink lines non-existent due to 25 to 35% dropoff from previous years. Plenty of room at tables, short restroom waits, etc..
Signing class long but signed already sans Ego and JC, 4 late bigtime decommitments, poor economy, lukewarm seasons of '08-'09, Saints SB days away, LSU Hoops suffering, bland weather, ever-increasing price, law of diminishing returns, whatever..
Surely not as boisterous and celebratorial as the '08 Bash and others, but very pleasant. My crew and I liked the thinner Bash..very relaxed.
