If you think Skip is bad AD, I have no idea what you think a good one looks like. The '00s were the Golden Age of LSU Athletics and easily the program's most successful decade in terms of both winning and revenue. They upgraded the facilities while also making money hand over fist. Also, just about every sport was competitive for national titles. I'm not sure what your standards are, but I don't see how Skip can be labelled as anything but an overwheleming success, particularly since he took over a program that was still smarting from NCAA non-compliance with Title IX in the most spectacular way (really, the 1990s LSU case is a textbook example on what NOT to do).

Why do people keep saying this completey untrue bullshite?
The 1980s, under Bob Brodhead, were more successful in terms of winning. We won SEC all-sports trophies on a regular basis and finished in the top 5 nationally. Under Bertman, we've never been close to an SEC all-sports trophy and only rarely, and barely, finish in the top 10 nationally.
Give Skip credit for upgrading facilities, but the assertion that his tenure was the most successful competitively is just pure made-up bullshite.
