WHO DAT?!

Dear Mister Goodell,
I'm writing to inform you,
Of a gross mistake in fact.

You're operating,
Under the delusion that,
The NFL owns "Who Dat?!"

In reality,
It is not yours to own.
Nor that of any football team.

It belongs to us,
The people of this state,
Particularly, New Orleans.

You then claim ownership,
Which is truly absurd,
Of our golden Fleur-de-lis.

If you ask our cousins,
If they owned it first,
Your answer will surely be, oui.

And try as you have,
To steal something of ours,
Issuing your cease and desist.

The only thing you have accomplished,
My friend,
Is getting us all pretty pissed.

We've waited for this,
More than forty long years,
A chance at football's nirvana.

Dampen our spirits?
In our time to shine?
I really don't think that you wanna.

I'll tell you a secret,
About all our people,
In case you still do not know.

We're stubbornly proud,
We do not like thieves,
And we thrive in the underdog roll.

And so now we thank you,
For fueling our fire,
And all we're about to unleash.

Miami will never be quite the same,
After Who Dats
Take over South Beach.

The schools have been closed.
Parades have been scheduled,
No matter the outcome or score.

For all the fans,
And the City of New Orleans,
This game just means so much more.

Pigs have grown wings,
Hell has frozen over,
Grown men have been seen wearing dresses.

You can't understand,
What all this means,
Unless you also claim our addresses.

And so now, in closing,
I'm afraid you can't have,
That which can never be yours.

"Who Dat" is more than words, Goodell.
It's a spirit
Emanating from our core.

Now, take your unfounded,
Unreasonable order.
Your claim has been dismissed.

And the next time you feel,
Like picking on our fans,
I ask YOU cease and desist.

WHO DAT?!

I know this goes on the Saints board. But with so many former Tigers playing for them and the majority of people being Saints and LSU fans, I figured it wouldn't hurt for it to go here too.
