One of my favorites and Scofield was great. Either 5 or 6 Oscars if memory serves.

Great film. Didn't know much about Thomas More until I saw the film and did some reading after. John Hurt as Richard Rich is a classic role also. The way More dresses him down and calls him out during the trial is awesome.

What would you do when the Devil turned around on you? What laws would protect you?

I'm screwing that quote up, but a great scene.

Paul Scofield was great in the move. I also liked Robert Shaw. One of my favorite actors also.

In no particular order: Doyle Lonnegan, Quint, Romer Treece,King Henry VIII

Also liked him in the Battle of the Bulge, and Battle of Britain. Pretty much haven't seen anything I didn't like him in.

Maybe a tad overstated, but Scofield was great.
