Visiting this weekend and his film is off the charts. Cant believe this guy is a 3 star. Little light for SEC play. Needs some pounds but is he ever quick off the ball. WOW

I think the only reason he is rated a 3* is because of his height at 6'1", not because of his ability or athleticism. Very good.

His film is way too good to be only a 3 star, seriously, his film is way good.. explosive, quick as a cat...

holds offers from UT, LSU, AU, Ole miss, Maryland, Louisville..

Says he had his eye on LSu before he committed to UT, but now that Miles called, he changed his planned visit to South Carolina to LSU this weekend..

this good news people!

I don't care what star they have...this kid is a player...he will have to add weight and work on Technique according to the experts

Ok. By the way everytone was describing him he sounded like a WR. Where is he from?

He is very quick off the ball based on the highlights. I thought, at first, why isn't anyone blocking him? But then I realized, he just got off the LOS so quickly they didn't have a chance to. I also like the way he gets a low pad level on the running plays which is why he blows up so many run plays in the highlights. There is definitely something to work with there. I hope we can get him. We need aggressive defensive linemen. I also would like to see him stay at DT.

This would help cushion the blow of losing Marsh. D-line is such an effort position, when you lack ideal "measureables" you can overcome that if you really have a motor.

Not knocking the kid, but a lot of those plays were made due to very poor offensive lines. Seem like they forget to block him most of the time. The kid has a lot of speed though.

He's an upgrade from Blackmon IMO.

I think he may be replacing Blackmon after they find out Blackmon's grade situation this weekend... which is apparently stark.

They want him as a DT apparently. I really hope we land this guy. I think if we roll out the red carpet with an offer, he'd commit

The thing I like most about his film is he throws people backward when he tackles.

I hate it when people sling the guy they are tackling forward.

Also, he doesn't seem to give up on the play..

I'd like to see him come be a tiger.

Agreed. I'm not an expert but I did play football in highschool and this kid is definitely a player. Right now, LSU just needs to make sure they fill positions of need with the remaining scholarships. He may be one of the best available as far as I've seen. Besides, it always helps the team to see a 3-star guy push higher rated athletes, whenever possible. We'll just wait and see what happens. Of course, I would hope he is eligible.

He has great hands too. I know its highlights, but the guy was snagging everything with those paws, and they all went down.

It doesn't look like Copeland is being blocked on many of the snaps in the highlight video, but is does look like he has good balance and very good football quickness/speed. Copeland also appears to have very active, strong hands (which is nice).

With all of the talk about ALL of the numerous running backs that we having lined up from last year, this year, and next year, it's refreshing to hear of another defensive linemen that's on our radar. And, if he's canceled his USC trip to tour our campus instead, then the odds are pretty good that, assuming he does what out of UT, he elects to join our team in Baton Rouge.

NOTE: In my estimation after watching this man's highlights and upon realizing his size, I think Miles and staff maybe thinking of Copeland in terms of converting him into an inside linebacker - he has the speed and the toughness, and, assuming he can keep lean muscle, should make a nice transition with Chavis's expertise.

In regards to ALL of the numerous running backs that we have lined-up, I think Michael Ford is the one to watch - this guy is PERFECT for our system, and he's an exceptional athlete. Look for Louisiana native Ford to run with passion and resolve and lead LSU to many victories in the next 3-4 years.
