Been discussed multiple times but I have a very very very good source that says Crowton kept shep out bc he wasnt "ready" and Miles was the one who sent him in and wanted to play him.

Makes sense. The kid looked as lost as any player I've ever seen in my life at times. I had a buddy that would always say Shep's best play was the timeout formation.

a whole bunch of players don't appear ready to play in Crowton's "system". Maybe the "system" is the problem???

Shep seems like he would play like Diondre Borel if he were to ever take snaps.

While this has been sort of beaten to death, this is yet another example of a disconnect between Miles and Crowton. How does Crowton still have a job?

sheppard is an improviser. him being in a scheme that is not built around him making the play is new for him. when he is in the play, he is either a decoy, or he is running with the ball. he knows football, but doesn't have much experience running "plays". when people realize that, they will be much happier.

Nobody was ready for Crowton's shite offense. Maybe he could get out the pressbox and coach someone up. Or change his idiotic scheme and playcalling.

Shep enrolled in the spring. Any ranter here could draw up 2 plays in the sand and have Shep learn them.

He wasn't ready to play QB, but any idiot could figure he was a RB-WR- wild tiger, like TH.

Yep, makes one wonder who's running the show. I really thought Crowton's days were numbered after the Ole Miss debacle and it turned out Miles wanted to run the ball but Crowton called for passing plays.

I've also wondered if one of the reasons Crowton always seemed late in getting the plays called was to keep Miles from second guessing the calls. Regardless, it just doesn't seem the two of them are on the same page (i.e., Miles had a serious "want" to get Shep some touches but Crowton wouldn't put him in).

Yea everytime he touched the ball, he was good for 8+ yards. Really looked clueless.

Our ENTIRE offense looked lost on 3 out of 4 plays!

How could Shep be singled out?

THat was jsut stupid trying to install GC's offensive trainwreck.

Why didn't Crowton adjust his scheme to allow Shepard to improvise? Why did he waste his freshman season by running basically one play with him in the most predictable way possible?

crowton used sheppard in a way that suited his talents. he never caught passes in high school. he is not a polished passer. its not on crowton or sheppard, give both time to work and you will see some amazing things.
