In overtime, Brees took the biggest QB hit of the game...

Did you see the high/low hit on Favre? That was clearly a penalty that was not called.

McCray grabbed Farve's calf from behind, he didn't hit his knee or his chest or his stomach.
He was falling down and stumbling and the only thing he could grab was his leg.

And did you see the hit on Brees in OT ????
It was the EXACT same hit that Hargrove made on Farve. (picking up and throwing him down and landing on top). Did the Vikings get called for it?????? Why nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
of course not !!!!!!!!

He was blocked into him and wraped up his feet and ankles. NO shot to the front of the knees, which would be a penalty (Brady Rule). Vikes should have done a better job protecting the QB. If I was a Vikings fan, I would be really upset with both my O and D-lines. Allen was a nonfactor and Farve got hit at least 16 times starting on the first play from schrimmage.

I am a Saints fan. I definitely thought the hit on Brees should have been a penalty, but only based on the earlier one called on the Saints, not because I thought it should have been a penalty.

I also saw a hands to the facemask on Brees not called.

But I saw the hit on Favre to the legs a lot differently than you did.

I think the Saints got away with a lot of questionable hits on Favre in the first half based on calls we have seen througout the years.

The hit out of bounds on the Saints was completely lame.

Yeah the refs did a bad job. But I think the whining about the persecution of the Saints is over the top.

We won.

Now we play Indy and get torched.

If I did it wasn't memorable. Although I think most of the roughing penalties are BS so I tend to get more outraged at them being called than not being called. The only reason the others are burned in memory is because they replayed them so much.

Was the officiating inconsistent? Very much so. Vikings got the benefit of the doubt the first 50 minutes or so and then the refs switched sides like they had just found out a family member had been kidnapped.

I didn't see this until I watched the replay. Drew's helmet almost came off from the impact.
And he didn't whine to the refs or roll around on the ground like a little bitch. He just jumped up and did his job. Maybe that's why he didn't get a flag?
