then they were finding out that a 3 time Super Bowl champion was cheating and the commishioner destroyed the evidence. The Saints may have won with a few gifts but in all this Vikings dominated T.O.P and yardage they fail to mention Saints dominated special teams...better kickoffs, better punts, and better returns(Minus reggie's fumble).
Normally I am not on the media hates the Saints due to the size market that New Orleans is, but this is getting stupid. Colon Cowherd and Darren Woodson were just talking about it as if it was an NFL screwjob.
Respond if you need to, I just had to vent after 2 days of media bullshite.
(By the way Colon was intentional)

don't let the national media get you down.
The better team won. There is no "fair" no matter what the stats say a winning team does not turnover 5 - 1.
The Saints are in the Superbowl, just enjoy it.

All that matters is the scoreboard. All the rest is just whining. I would watch ESPN very sparingly for the next couple of weeks.

I'm unsure as to why the market thing was an issue as it is a fact that this NFC championship was one of the all time most watched. Also, the Saints market extends beyond New Orleans which some fail to realize.
I don't think the Saints played a great game at all. I do believe the Vikings had a bit of a better day, but turnovers killed them and in the end the Saints did what that had to do to win in overtime. Bottom line, the Saints beat the Vikings period, but their will always be some animosity from someone somewhere.

Here, this should help you:

SAINTS-VIKINGS: Yes, the Vikings had an advantage of more than 200 net yards, but they also had a lot more plays. Minnesota ended up with a smaller advantage in yards per play, 5.8 to New Orleans' 4.7. Yards per play (and DVOA) say more about a team's future performance than total yards. The difference between the Vikings' per-play performance and the Saints' per-play performance gets made up by three things:
*The Saints were much more efficient in the red zone than on the rest of the field. They ran seven plays in the red zone and three of them were touchdowns. In the third quarter, Pierre Thomas had three straight runs in the red zone and gained 6, 5, and 9 yards against the best run defense in the NFL.
*The Saints were much better on special teams, for two reasons: Courtney Roby's long kick return to start the second half, and a big day from rookie punter Thomas Morstead. Morstead averaged 52 gross yards and 48.5 net yards per punt.
*The fumbles
