To no one's surprise the undersized 2-guard is already a nice contributor for the Hornets this year. Averaging 9.4 points per game in just 18.6 minutes a game. I think it's only a matter of time before he takes over Devin Brown as the starting SG. Thornton is the #1 scorer off the bench for the Hornets and despite over 6 less minutes a game is only scoring 0.3 less points per game than Devin Brown.

Really glad to see him doing well in the NBa and in New Orleans at that.

NBA was sleeping on this guy during the draft. Saying he wasnt athletic or some bullshite. I dont know what they ae looking at. Maybe his measurables arent that great, but that doesnt really matter if you step up your game on the court.

He got talked up a lot for the late 1st round before the draft then fell all the way to the mid 2nd. A huge value pickup. Kind of like Glen Davis.

Brady could recruit. He just couldn't keep the kids in school.

Brady could recruit but couldn't coach, that was the biggest issue. But I saw mt play the spurs in NO and he seems more seasoned than the rookie that he is, very clutch and seems like the other players all trust and have faith in him, love to see Tigers do good in the pros!

Isn't he 6'4? I didn't think that is drastically undersized for a SG.

He measured in at 6'3.5 and yes that's undersized for a 2-guard in the NBA, not so much at all for college. Most 2-guards are in the 6'5-6'7 range in the NBA. No he's not en Gordon or anything, but that was a knock on him going into the draft.

TJ brought that out in him, or the potential of being drafted. His leaping ability helps make up for his slightly short stature. I expect him to do well. I also agree with Thunder Bird about Glenn Davis. Tyrus can play a little as well.
