Well, one has won a national title for starters. He also has head coaching experience. Do you honestly think LSU hires a co-ordinator to be its head coach when Miles leaves/is fired? Can you imagine the meltdown?
I don't think it is remotely likely that LSU hires Smart, or any co-oridantor, to be its next coach.
