I am absolutely shocked that Auburn is doing as well as they are on the recruiting trail. They have no chance of ever winning a MNC with LSU, BAMA and Florida in their path every year. They have an unproved coach and a dominate Saban cherry picking players out of their backyard. Something is amiss at that hole, and I bet its only a matter of time before we know.

first full recruiting class for the staff. Happens every where. New coaches can promise playing time and sell the recruits on being "their guy".

I think they have 3-5 JUCO commits though. Those rarely pan out.

Dyer is legit.

5 of our 28 commits enrolled early for spring and since we only signed 20 in last years class they can count against that class rather than this one. So we could still sign 5 more.

As for Seastrunk, nobody I have talked to thinks Auburn to be much of a player for him. He hasn't visited AU since this past summer and our coaches havent been in contact with him much. If we don't land Lattimore I think we are done at RB.

Yeah we have 4 Juco commits. I agree with you about Jucos...seems like one out of every 4 Auburn signs ends up being decent. We just have so many holes on our roster that we have to sign a few.

Not so sure about that. Cheese wiz seems to have an excellent group recruiting over there. Not happy to see Malzahn there either. They got screwed in 04, but other than that your right no MNC. We've had some close ones over the years before last years beatdown of them.

ESPN giving them some love to them....lol

agreed. I think the level of coaching these kids get at the JUCO level is no better than what they got in high school. They are at square one when they arrive on campus just like the true freshmen. They only have two years to make an impact rather than four.

Its been fun to watch that is for sure. Of course we still have allot of catching up to do and one great class wont change that. If we hang on to the commits we have and close with the 4-5 guys everyone thinks we will that will be one heck of a start though.

Auburn still has the 85 school limit to deal with so does that mean Chizum goes Saban on the current AU roster?

No. As of right now if we enrolled the maximum possible of 30 (The 5 guys that already enrolled this semester plus 25 more in august) then we would be three over the 85 limit. That includes Zac Ethridge (the guy who hurt his neck in the ole miss game who probably wont play again) and Arion Savage (who tore his achilles heel last August and his ACL the august before that and is applying for a sixth year of eligibility). I actually expect us to be several scholarships under the 85 limit by the time August gets here. Everybody always loses a couple to transfer, grades, injury etc. (as opposed to Saban who somehow seems to lose 10-15 every summer).

We only had 10 seniors this past year so it may seem strange to bring in a class this big but we started the season with 70 scholarship players. Tubs signed way to many guys that either didnt qualify or left before contributing (42% of the guys we signed in the 2006-2008 classes were not around for the start of this season).

Good coaches and GREAT recruiters.

Oh, get off it already. We beat UF when they were at the top... twice. We barely lost to Bama and the LSU game was a disaster this year. It won't be like that next year.

You're welcome.

Yeah, no way in hell they are doing it legitimately.

OK thanks because Scout has you listed as 3 over right now with 26 commits. I guess you have some juniors going to the draft or something. Thanks for clearing that up for me scout needs to update that stuff more.

No problem. We didnt lose any in the draft but they havent even removed our seniors yet or some other guys that left while ago. They are terrible about updating those things. We got 58 Scholarship players right now coming back.
