LSU could pull a major turn around if they could sign:
Ambles
Seastrunk
Ego
and i think lsu has a good chance at getting all 3

If they make a push for Ambles they can probably at least get a visit out of him, but idk my gut says he goes with Laney out to SC.
Ego seems to really feel Cal but man I have no idea about that one.
At this point I don't even care about Seastrunk. Not to disparage the guy because I'd love to have him but I have moved on.

hmmmm
I love the optimism, but lets be real so we don't mislead ourselves in false hope.
Nobody that actually follows recruiting closely for a living, thinks we get Ambles, or Lache
Ego is thought be more like 45/55 LSU/Cal
Be looking for 4 Star WR Boone and Wright!
and Fobbs...
and one surprise...I have no idea who, but every year we get at least one out of nowhere...It probably will happen. Maybe a defensive guy...?or It could Seastrunk...just maybe
and Maybe we can keep Marsh, but doubtful..haven't heard anything lately
and Hicks apparently didn't show up for a team meeting today, so maybe he left ? dunno?
This weekend is huge for visits...Expect some good news

I think we'll definitely end up with Fobbs and James Wright (and I'm okay with that because I like both of them)
My hopes are that we can get those two and Trovon Reed..and I think Kadron Boone would come here if they were willing to take him so add him in too.
Would have been great to keep Davis and Hunter but those are 4 good players..obviously we have our work cut out for us with Reed, but even without him that's 3 good receivers to finish up with when we have none right now.
I've had a gut feeling that Ego comes to LSU since his official visit but..I dunno. It'd be a little surprising but I think we have a legitimate shot.

why don't y'all want Seastrunk LSU has a need at the RB position. As far as i know you guys lack a "speed" back.

I'd love to have him, I just don't think he's coming here.

I'd love to have a guy with Seastrunk's skillset. In all honesty though, about the closest guy in the country to comparing to Lache is Drayton Calhoun. Both have amazing straightline speed (Lache at 4.29 and Drayton at 4.31 - both swatch-timed) and acceleration, and both are a lot less shifty in the openfield than one might expect. Both guys are going to have to adjust to not finding the edge quite so easily in college as well.

Does he have attitude problems?
Where do most think he will go?

There were some rumblings about him being a little non-chalant at the USAAA game, but nothing really substantiated. ETA: But honestly, it's an exhibition game.

I don't think it's a matter of fans not thinking he'll come to LSU. I think it's more people hedging their bets in order to soften the blow if he chooses Oregon.

No worries, LSU will be fine. It's a top ten program with a great fan base, great stadium and facilities. Not to mention the food is the greatest, people are friendly with the added caveat of having some of the finest (Creole) women in the country. School is school, . . . ultimately, it's the student's own desire to improve/learn that makes the collegiate experience the greatest, or most pathetic waste of time in one's life. Provided the school has the resources and facilities, and at this level, all are pretty much equal unless you are attending an Ivy League school; then again, if you are doing that, football is not that important to you.

I would never go to Oregon if i were him. it doesn't make much sense. They have a soph. RB in Lamichael James, who some are hyping to compete for the heisman. They also have another solid guy in Kenjon Barner. Seastrunk plays exactly like James.

Where do fans think he will end up? I've heard CB, WR, even a little SA. Did he only practice as a RB last year b.c. of all the injuries at the position?

There's a good opportunity to play in an offense that runs the ball primarily out of the spread which is something that he'll like. And, he'll play in a conference where he won't get beat up quite so much as in the SEC. And let's not kid ourselves, the facilities at Autzen are okay.

The general consensus is runningback.
I've maintained since his recruitment that if he doesn't get a shot at kick returner, I'll quit life.

i just can't understand why he would want to split time or sit the bench.

That's the reality at most top tier programs though. Granted, LSU is going to be somewhat of an open competition, but if history is any indication, the majority of the carries will go to a "featureback" like Ridley or Ford.

I've maintained since his recruitment that if he doesn't get a shot at kick returner, I'll quit life. The guy is an absolute dynamo on kick returns, and he doesn't spend a lot of time dancing around. He catches the ball and starts on a 4.31 40-yard dash up the field as soon as he sees a crease.
Similar to Trinton Holliday's career??

true but a speed back is needed every once in awhile.
