Not only that, but it's also Miles' job to ensure out of state recruits remain interested in LSU. I understand we can't get them all, but this is the risk you take for going after a kid from Virginia and to a lesser extent Texas. In the end, it's Miles' responsibility.

If my son was a 4 or 5 star recruit, I wouldnt want him to come to LSU and play under Miles.
And I am a die hard LSU fan with a house full of purple and gold. Sorry but I would want him somewhere with quality coaching t help him get to the next level.

If every coach in the NCAA was fired after losing out on a previously committed player, then there would be nothing but coachless teams. The Chicken Little Syndrome on the Rant is pretty bad around here.

So you have confidence in Miles going 10-2 or better this season? The one thing Miles was always thought to be was a great recruiter. Well that is also going by the wayside just like his coaching ability.

Didn't realize top ten recruiting class equaled poor recruiter. And yes, I do have confidence in Miles going 10-2 this season. The sky isn't falling because we lose a couple of recruits just before NSD and surely not after a 9-4 season.
As far as losing out on Hunter, has anyone considered the fact that maybe he wanted to go to Tennessee in the first place, but couldn't stand Kiffin? Sort of like Ryan Perrilloux wanting to go to LSU, but hated Saban.

This happens every year to every coach. Why are we harping on it this year? We still have a top 10 class and there are still 2 weeks left until national signing day.

You do understand that these kids do have a mind of their own right? If they get homesick, or their parents sway them, Miles can only talk to him...he cant handcuff him to a frickin' chair. I swear...some of you will blame Miles for anything...its ridiculous.
