He didn't play like a first team all SEC player in the bowl game

He carried the D all year bro, and you pick one play and try to bring him down. Yeah, he bit on ONE play all year and we had ZERO rush on a terrible qb. He was trying to make something happen, something the offense sure couldn't.

Look, I'm as big of a Peterson fan as they come but come on man. If you want to start throwing bouquets for shutting down Green and Jones you have to bring up the TDs against Ole Miss and PSU. He was the one that bit on McCluster's TD pass AND on the 2pt conversion later in the game.

Actually he got burned about 3 times all season which isn't bad at all considering some of the great QB's LSU played. He outshown Arenas as far as I was concerned and should have been 1st team All SEC. Arenas is good but got more recognition for his return exploits which carried over to voting amongst the conference writers and coaches. I still say had PP not cramped up in the 'Bama game LSU wins in spite of the injuries and horrid officiating. He will be a Thorpe contender from day one next season.
