I was extremely disappointed in the way JJ played all year. he didnt play bad, he just didnt live up to the hype. Russell Shepard has so much talent. he is electric. he has a swagger that JJ is missing, I would love to see him start. he would totally change the teams identity

No.
A fourth starting QB in two seasons=not good.

No. He, himself, doesn't even want to play the position.

You will see him in Wildcat, WR, and TB a whole lot in '10. As the primary qb...not a snap at all.

He will also be returning our punts. Guarantee that.

Herb Tyler started for LSU, so Shep could. But he will not. Doesn't fit the Miles/Crowton style of offense.

In any position it seems.

I wish I could bump the thread from last year where I said shep should be returning punts and was CRUCIFIED on here

No. He will ride the bench except maybe to return punts and kickoffs, and maybe 8 or 10 plays out of the wildcat.

Yeah, I started a thread about using Shep as PR/KR and people went ballistic.

Hell, at least they think like Les Miles. He can't get hurt on the bench.

Shepard was BORN to be a PR/KR

He was returning punts at practices during December and Les has openly told Gridiron members that he will be doing this next season. I thought it was known.

I look for him and Brooks to share kickoff duties also.

And I know people say, "Well why would we do that and chance him getting hurt on offense?" Well, you cannot keep a weapon out in fear of that. He's easily our biggest long yard threat next season.

Call 'em out. Who were some that were doing this to you?

I don't think people understand that we're in a new age...no more Trindon and Chad. We got great mileage out of both and we cannot go back to having average return men. Our best weapon is Shep and we shall use him as such.

Well look it up Doc. In the words of Apollo Creed to Balboa, "A lot of people are going to owe you an engraved apology."

"And you're gonna owe me a favor."

I rarely come on and say "book it" and yada yada, but here, trust me...RS will be returning punts.

nah...I haven't really seen anything to convince me that he is an SEC caliber passer...now, carrying the ball is a different story...
