Thought about that for a while. I believe it was supposed to be a vision of his grown up daughter.

I think that was just his mind starting to break down. At that point, he still thought his daughter was 3.

I watched it the other day. What's interesting is that the movie was actually better than what the trailer made it out to be.
This movie also reminded me of what an underrated actor Sam Rockwell is.

Watched this a couple of nights ago and loved it. Not what I was expecting, but still great. I can't believe Rockwell never got any Oscar buzz for this.

first, my opinion, SPOILERS AHEAD WARNING!
i thought at the end of the movie, the quality and purpose of the movie was hurt because you realized the whole time that two clones were fighting and the original Sam made it back to earth years ago and was reunited with his duaghter...so in effect....the happy ending occurred before the actual story in this movie...so doesn't that make the personal side of the movie irrelevant? poor target story in my opinion. I really thought early on that the fight club theme would prevail instead of clone story. overall about a 3/5.

That's if you didn't see the clones as people. If you did, then there was still an emotional part of the story left.

The story wasn't about Sam Bell. The story is about Sam Bell #x and Sam Bell #y

but why did they even need clones? why didn't they just send somebody else up there?

WHY? Why do you people get movies, have them in your hand, and THEN come on here and ask if it is good ? Just WATCH the damn thing and form your own opinion rather than going in with preconceived notions.

so what was the deal with his body going to shite? Do the clones only last about 3 years, then there body gives out and they die?
If so, when the clone goes back to earth, won't he finally die in a couple years and it be a pointless trip?
