I cant see them buying off on a rollover/extension right now.

is there a deadline on when the extension/rollover must be granted by? If it does happen, hopefully some of the local reporters will find out about it and broadcast it.

I could see them rolling it over and not mentioning it till they have to (maybe buying them a few months). If Crowton is staying on after 112th ranked offense out of 120th anything is possible. It is not impossible Les could get his rollover anymore.

not sure but I would think that there would be.

Not true.
It's at the discretion of the Chancellor.
So, to say it's automatic is not 100% correct.
Martin earned points last year for not giving the extension and would earn even more points if he declined it again this year.
I'm only going by what was in the paper this morning.

Miles is in the second year of a seven-year contract he signed after the 2007 national title season, a pact that calls for a rollover if LSU wins eight games.
I suppose that can be interpreted to be discretionary or required. I hope it's discretionary but it doesn't go into detail.

I didn't see anything called out specifically in the contract.

So his contract is through the 2014 season? I thought it was through 2012 season.

'12...unless they extend it.

If he asked for the extension this year I'd show him the end of the Ole Miss game
Posted on 1/9/10 at 5:07 pm to RummelTiger
So the extension is assumed to occur if the team wins 8+ games unless the Chancellor nixes it and the BOS agrees with the Chancellor.
I'm good with that.
Somebody call Randy Rosetta and set him straight.

Yeah, his numbers are all messed up. Miles just completed the second year of a 5-yr. deal.

where does TAF and the boosters come into play?
Call/e-mail to the BOS, Lombardi, and Martin and let them know you won't donate, or seriously cut back on your donation if they roll this buffoons contract over.
