The fact that it took 2 miracles this year to not have 5 losses (plus Penn State) really makes me think most of you are being a little too optimistic.

I'd be thrilled with a 9 win season again, as long as it's a better 9 win product. Flip the 9 and make it a 6 for this past season and you could have fooled me.

Main problem I had with this season, though it was a 9 win season is that LSU really didn't win a game vs a good team. Auburn was decent, but not great. In fact, last two seasons the only "big game" LSU has won was vs GT.

Yep, Auburn as the sig win is pretty lame...though we did stomp their asses.
This past season wasn't entertaining. Next season, 9 wins or 8, needs to be ala 2000.

4-8 is more like it. And yes, I'm serious. Next year LSU will implode on both sides of the ball, along with a serious coaching meltdown.

I don't know what Les and Saban's record were versus top 25 teams, but Les has beaten one top 25 team in the last 2 years out of 9 games. This is a decline. Les lost to good teams and won against the average or bad teams. That is a decline from what LSU has been the few years prior to these last 2.
