I don't know but I hope he spends that day watching film. I'm one of his biggest supporters but he has to have the "want" to get better. After watching Gilbert last night I have now turned the corner on the "but he's 19" excuse. He has to get better.

apparently he's a 19 year old kid...waiting to be a 20 year old man...

I believe Gilbert just turned 18...and progressed like a future champ last night...kudos to that kid...

Yup. Gilbert will be elite. I don't think JJ can pull himself away from the fricking PS3 long enough to become elite.

Little side note, I talked to my nephew who is on the team and he told me that Jefferson doesn't even watch as much film as he does and he'll probably NEVER take a live snap at LSU. He's just a walk-on that has to watch tape so he can try to mimic the other teams on the scout offense. He said players are told to take game tapes home and our QB "leaves them behind accidentally" way too often.

figures...thats why he's not gonna progres, he doesnt have it bt the ears...i saw gilbert a few times look all the way down to his 3rd reciever....yea he made plenty of mistakes, but he wasnt scared to make them...I was going for Bama until halftime...I knew deep down that kid was gonna come back by watching his mannerisms on the first drive of the third qtr, even started a thread on it at that time...Gilbert has that dare to be great attitude that you need for people to follow you as a qtr back...I've been arguing the whole time that JJ doesnt and will never have that...I think its a trait that your born with that makes good players great ones...on the SEC scoreboard,i started a thread but cant find it try looking in the 20's around the 3rd qtr...

going to lunch...be back in an hr...

b/c Im pretty sick of hearing the "he's only 19" excuse, and I was wondering how much longer people will keep dancing to that worn out beat.

Gilbert was also a 5 star record breaking freak playing against the best competition coming out of high school. He and RS were the 2 best QB's in texas. We got the dual threat, they got the pure passer. I still think jefferson can win enough with crowton leaving and the cast he has around him until Chris Garrett steps in.

RB and QB are very different positions to pick up when you're young. Just saying, but I get your point.

uh...yes he did...and thats all he had..."it" is defined as not being scared, living in the moment....without heart beating through his chest...the ability to stay calm....plays the game doesnt look in the stands....has a self awareness about himself....doesnt fold to pressure when game is on the line..= "it"
