SAddens me to see how much of an impact Trent has on the Bama Championship. We have a freshmen equally as talented in Randle and we threw him about 10 balls all season.

SICKENING. This is not even to mention Russel Shep.

Bama needed him to back up Ingram. Did we really need Randle to back up Lafell and Toliver?

This. Plus, you have to have an offensive line that can block worth a crap, and then a QB that can effectively deliver the ball. We have neither, so don't expect Randle to be the next coming either.

As frustrated as I have been with the playcalling, time management and other lapses this year, I am most frustrated with the lack of development of young players.

RS's year was a complete waste with nothing to show for losing that year of eligibility. At least Randle was on the field and hopefully learning, and some of it may be JJ's fault as Randle was likely his 3rd or 4th read on most plays. Frankly, I felt like Peterson didn't show good coaching, just freakish ability that is raw.

How many top recruits have we watched underperform, while everywhere else in the SEC they seem to blossom from their true freshman year on (Trent Richardson, Julio Jones, AJ Green, etc.). Our true freshmen don't know where to line up, even after having an extra spring of practice. It's maddening.

Trent Richardson may be a better football player than the current Heisman winner.

What was Trent Richardson thinking...scoring TD in the national championship game? He could have been at LSU sitting on the bench for the #112 offense in the country...

if LSU only had just 1 out of CS/KW/Murphy, Ford might've gotten some serious PT.

I honestly believe with all my heart Richardson would not have sniffed the field this year at LSU. They would have redshirted him or stuck him on special teams.

Given how our RB situation played out this year, I'm not sure if that would have been a done deal.

Randle is a quarterback. Trent Richardson is a running back. And if by "our trent richardson" you mean a backup that gets about 5-7 touches a game with minimal impact then whatever. Cry about it you closet bama fan.

eta: I realize he got significant minutes in the NC game, but Ingram was hurt. If Lafell had gone down, Randle would've been ready to step up, IMO. Quityerbitchin.

Really? Seriously? Jesus. I'm so sick of our fanbase. You people are like little emo kids. Randle could've been a good backup just like Richardson

He was a complement, not a backup. He had 751 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns. Randle could have COMPLEMENTED our other receivers so much more than he did.

HE WAS THIRD STRING! Tolliver got like 600 yards. We had no offensive line. You people are freaking retarded

IMO - Trent Richardson wouldn't have seen the field at LSU, and I doubt very few would argue with me on this.

Scary, how much impact he had at Alabama on a NC team. The fact that we had so many backs that would have been ahead of him, yet finish with one of the worst offenses in the country.

COACHING, COACHING, COACHING!!!

No OL development -- Les' specialty!

There are significant problems with this team, guys, and I don't see anything on the horizon that offers any real change.
