What would you do?
Two option I have found include getting the 4gallon combo from www.krazykajuncookware.com that is 160 and includes the pot the lid (cast iron) and Burner Stand (Not sure if it includes the burner even though the pic shows the burner. Its not seasoned btw
Other is a 5 gallon preseasoned pot from antique store in denham it has hooks and cast iron lid. They are asking 120 for it. However they also want 120 for the stand/burner which I find a bit high. I do have a burner already but it doesnt have the custom pot holder so pot would just sit on burner.
Looking for a pot to use for small to medium size gatherings and to tailgate for baseball games with small groups.

What kind of burner? "Banjo" or single jet.
I'd get the burner specifically for the jambalaya pot. The flame is spread out (banjo) and the distance to the flame is probably greater. You don't want a lot of heat when cooking jambalaya. Mostly, the cooking is all simmering.

I'd go with the whole rig, not that big a deal to season a pot...
But you might check out Vernon's Hardware. They run specials occasionally and I thought I saw they had a whole 5 gallon rig on sale for $ 150 recently.

I would not get that Burner.... even though I have one
thats my turkey fryer. I never use that for Jamabalaya...
I think you would get this one.
I use it for my 5 gallon or my 15 gallon.
Also I would be leary of ordering a pot on-line... I want to see it first..
Vernons has the Krazycajun stuff too.
Some pots are much smoother inside than others, which makes a big differance..

I wasnt going to order online just view their stuff online. Shipping would be a bitch anyways.. I was planning on driving there. Might have to check out Vernons. I have looked at Goodwood and they have some nice stuff but they are very proud of their products.

Did that kit come with the burner in the stand or was that extra? They dont specify in their online listing.
