When thrown upon, Porter was awful. Lucky for him, throwing on David is as easy as throwing on Jai Eugene.

This. Jenkins is not in the same class with Porter in terms of coverage ability. I was singing Jenkins' praises after the first Tampa game, but that performance was fool's gold. Jenkins has no future at CB in the NFL because he does not have fluid hips and can't adjust to quick cuts or double moves by receivers. As a result, Jenkins must be moved to FS if he has a chance to be an effective full-time starter.

Actually Porter played 4 full games and looked bad in both the Washington and Denver game. FWIW, he looked solid in the other two.

hmmmm...seems awfully similar to something Deion Sanders said on NFL network, you sure you came up with that analysis on your own?
Anyway, making any conclusion on a cornerback (or any football player for that matter) in their rookie year is simply ridiculous. If we went by these standards, Mr. Meachem would be bagging groceries right now.
