As others have said, he would still only have to sit out the one year. The difference is if you do not get a release you can not be on scholarship during the year you sit out.

No chance it happens anyway so it really doesn't matter.

FWIW he didn't "almost" commit to LSU, he did commit. Regardless I wouldn't be shocked either, I would be astonished if he transferred to LSU

Most kids go for the school. He is a Florida kid. This will have no impact. Some of you forget that most kids like to stay in state.

Andre Debose does not regret his decision. Trust me.

Already sat out a year because of injury. Not likely he'll sit out another because of a coaching change. Florida is still a top program and will compete every year unless they screw up and hire another Zook.

Yep, Florida has the talent. If they make the right hire they will be fine for a long time. Even if they screw up, expect two more excellent seasons out of them.

They'd never give him a release to LSU.

I bet he really is regretting going to Florida about now. I would not be surprised if he transferred to LSU

He went to Florida for more than just the coach… Coach’s come and go…How many times have you seen a mass exodus of players after a coach leaves or is fired. Once a kid signs on the dotted line and becomes emotionally committed to any program it is hard for them to leave….Yes there is an occasional example, but it is not the norm…..
