Its unreal how recruits (Davis,Hunter,etc...)say things on record such as "im not taking anymore visits" "my recruitment is over" and "im solid" than continue taking visits and sometimes decommitting. You would think they tell the coaches these same things, than blatantly go back on their word. With limited scholarships (esp this year with how many early commits we had) this seems especially unjust. 4 schollys left for this class, our big need for WR's, and hunter seemingly wavering on his commitment after the fla visit, are we directing all efforts on Fobbs and other possibles? Im fully aware of Hunter's abilities, but with the instate prospects still on board i would think they would be a much more solid bet to land? With Wright's commitment rumored eminent, that would atleast add a little depth heading into next years monster class with simon possibly converting if necessary. That would also allow us to use the remaining 2 spots on a d-lineman and possibly that halfback out of temple. I guess my bottom line is do ya'll think hunter stays true? And is it worth the gamble to lose fobbs or someone else holding out on him? Rant complete.

Hunter is worth the gamble, and I do think he sticks with us. Our track program helps there... He has a skill set that no other WR in the nation has and no WR has had that I am of aware of in quite some time. His potential and athleticism give him a higher ceiling than any other athlete in the nation imo...

Yes, he is a serious talent, but I also heard he's impressed with UF's track team. And what if he were to pull the switch? What would be your game plan in that scenario?

Listen. Davis didn't think he was getting a texas offer. He did, its where he always wanted to go, so he changed his mind. It happens.

Let's say you got engaged, loved your fiance, and was happy with your choice. Then Kate Beckinsale tells the world her dream guy is an over-zealous, irrational, LSU message board troll and posts her email on the web. Are you saying you wouldn't shoot her a message?

Thought so.

I think with Wright and Fobbs in the picture and so much WR talent in state next year, that its not that big of a risk

Wonder how Wright & Fobbs think about being 2nd choice, especially knowing some additional high profile players will be coming to LSU next season. Personally if they are long time LSU fans then take the offers, but if not I could not blame them for going elsewhere.

I think being the athletes that they are guys like Fobbs and Wright might cherish the role to show the home state at LSU that they are top dogs and are probably being told that by the coaches recruiting them to LSU. I doubt they see themselves as second tier since LSU has been on them for a while and the new coaches can make them feel more wanted and have it be believable since it is true...

Again if they have grown up LSU fans then they probably would believe anything.

Ask Mike Davis. Texas came around after they exhausted other recruits.

I also think Hunter will look at U. Tenn a little bit. Not sure thats where he will end up but the whole Track thing is not that big of a deal since there are numerous track programs that are good including UT and Florida's.

So if we do who else would be in the mix for WR if we don't get Wright and/or Fobbs? So far I can only think of Martavious Lee, Eric Thomas, or Thomas Bridgewater and some others. I like these guys. They WANT to play here it seems like. I don't know, What are your options?
