1- Against Ole Miss, after the first two point conversion lob pass attempt to Toliver drew a pass interference, moving the ball to the one, Miles/Crowton called the same shite again.

2- After taking a 10 point lead on the Rebels, Miles called an onside kick that allowed them to get immediately back in the game.

3- At 3rd and 10 at the Alabama 30, Miles/Crowton call a quarterback keeper with a lame quarterback.

Sorry, I just can't let it go.

Can't agree w/ this one. No, it didn't pan out, but if LSU manages to recover the kick (they had the element of surprise on their side), it looks like a brilliant, daring move.

6 straight pass attempts by JL that resulted 2 consecutive 3 and outs.

# 3 @ Ole Miss..... In FG range and what a stupid call... Game winning FG all set up... then disaster strikes , and strikes again, then of again....

Oh well, glad I could relive that again...

Please move this thread to the Political Board, where Rex needs to be kept...laughing..just kidding

I agree with your #1 and #3.

#2 I do not have a problem with. It is no different than what the Steelers attempted yesterday and their attempt failed also. Coach Miles cannot do right this season. People are on his case for not gambling like he did in the last championship season and then get on his case when he does gamble.

King size frick up in the O'll Piss Game. Worst blown victory all times in football history. Often wonder where Les was?

Agreed. It was a ballsy decision, and had it worked we might've put them away at that point. Plus it was early enough in the game that if the Rebs did come back, we'd have plenty of time to do the same.

Calling a critical and important time out against Alabama on 3rd and 25 to avoid a delay of game penalty.

First, you know who your quarterback is and that he is not too bright, so get the f'ing play in on time.

Second, 3rd and 25? 3rd and f'ing 25? What the f'ck is the difference between 3rd and 25 and 3rd and 30 when you're no where near field goal range.

This is just the microcosm of Les Miles' clock management skills over the last 5 years.

there were alot of suspect calls this season. i agree with you on all 3. you have to know when to call such ballsy calls and i dont think it was the right time for on side kick but i was glad to see a glimpse of the old miles.

there is no doubt in my mind that the reason for not having a great team this year starts at the o-line! play calling becomes much easier when you can run the ball and protect the passer. without it you are limited and in 2009 it is safe to say we were limited. the d-line was also a problem but out defense was not the glaring problem.

I will answer for the uneducated members of our audience. The difference is 5 yards or 15 feet or 180 inches. For the uneducated members of our audience outside the USA, the difference is 4.57 meters. I am glad to be of assistance in the answering of this question. Thank You and have a Happy Holiday

I wasn't so much ticked at the Ole Miss last second play .... What I was ticked at were the passing plays that were called while in FG range, besides running Ridley to the middle of the field to set up the FG. Made no sense, and that is why we lost.

Every time we ran the option to the short side of the field, you think after being stuffed the first 3 times we ran it, Crowton would get rid of the play.

Well, that was beyond our control. The last 50 seconds of the Ole Miss game was completely in our control. That's what makes it so f'd up.

morons and ranturds who just can't let it go.

i counsel people to give me $20.00 everytime they continue w/ a resentment. you owe me $20.00 if you want to let it go.

coaches and positive people cannot live healthy productive lives carrying resentments.

while watching these other bowl games, i see lots of mistakes (read: LOTS OF MISTAKES) and i am sooo grateful for les miles. sure, he makes mistakes, but i forgive him as i forgive you.

we got beat by two heismans, the #1 and #4 teams in the whole fricking country, not only to mention the S.E.C.!!
COM'ON, what if the ref had given us 2 seconds (or what we deserved...3seconds) after the tolliver catch.

i mean, you can keep beating the dead horse, or you can bring up all the other mistakes that we made (especially during our wins.)

"Misery loves company" is a popular saying b/c it is true. the negaturds and ranturds just reenforce their own low self esteems with these rants.

i'm on my way to so. cal for the holidays, and i am damn proud to wear my colors. esp just to watch the usc turds eat crow.

reality is real.

We absolutely should have recovered that onside kick. It was brilliantly executed. That could have been a death blow. sometimes, good calls don't work out, otherwise, it wouldn't be a risk. But I loved the onside kick against Ole Miss.

The criminal abuse of timeouts, I completely agree on. We recklessly burned timeouts all year. Terrible clock management.

I don't fault this either...it was there and they nearly executed it to perfection. Actually thought that was pretty good coaching at the time. 1. Identify a weakness; 2. plan to exploit it; 3. practice the execution; 4. know when to call the play.

1/2 an inch away from killing OM right then and there.

The second pass call on the 32 against Ole Miss after Jefferson had almost been sacked during the first pass call. Running game had been working, Shepherd had been getting yards. Stupid play call. Run the ball, kick the field goal, win the game.
