Gary Crowton's last 4 jobs:

OC LSU
OC Oregon
HC BYU
OC Chicago Bears
If he sucks so much, how come he keeps getting these pretty prestigious positions? I mean, there are very few coordinators--if any--who can list these type jobs on their resumes.
Perhaps--just perhaps--these people with infinitely more money, resources, knowledge, and jobs on the line than any of us are actually in better position to judge his competence.
I thought Crowton was absolutely horrible this year and should have been fired. But upon further reflection, the ONLY reason he should be fired is if Les thinks he can replace him with somebody he thinks will make LSU a better football team in '10 and beyond. NOT just to appease the fricking morons who make up a very vocal part of our fanbase. Y'all can shout "107 RANKED OFFENSE" until your fricking throats bleed, but it will never be able to change the fact that less than 2 years ago, Les Miles was holding the fricking BCS National Championship Trophy over his head and Gary Crowton was his offensive coordinator. This year was bad-real bad--, but only a fricking moron would conclude that it is an impossibilty for LSU to ever be good again with these same coaches. How do I know? Again, 'cause less than 2 years ago, we were the fricking best.

the offense wasn't the reason we lost those two games.

You are too stupid to engage in this discussion, please do not post in this thread again.

Who was better than us in 2007? Nobody.

Oregon with a healthy Dennis Dixon probably was

"If"s and "butt"s, candy and nuts and all that shite. Should Les not get credit for having recruited RP as a backup? He gets blamed for everything else, can he not get credit for having a pretty good backup QB?

Hot Carl - I think Summers Eve is using your avatar as their new brand image.

Also, I disagree. They could not have stopped our offense.

Ok? Well they weren't better at the end of the season when it matters.

The spread absolutely tore LSU up in 07, though.

Florida tore us up?

Georgia > Oregon at the end of the '07 season

Yes.
And I also meant LSU had no answer for those kind of QBs. LSU couldn't stop Brent Schaeffer.

Point is, resume's can be pretty deceiving. Some guys can just flat-out talk their way into jobs.

by the way, this thread is about Gary Crowton. If you need a thread to diminish the accomplishment of our national championship, by all means, feel free to go start that. You, Max, and the rest of the pathetic Miles haters can all high-five each other and jack yourselves off.

fwiw, I like Miles.
I just think Stud is a terrible mistake of a coach, and Crowton is not the right guy for LSU.

I just said LSU was the best team in 2007.
LSU couldn't stop Florida. The only time we did was from a fluky fumble when they had been driving and from an interception that bounced off the side of the tight ends head. You posting roflmaos doesn't change the fact.
When did you become such a ranter, Carl?
