from 3-5 to 5-3 in the SEC with a TRUE SOPHOMORE QB(should be a redshirt freshman)... thats flat out awesome in the SEC!... We were very close to an undefeated season... With his continued improvement, game managing skills, and his CLUTCH play we have a lot to be excited about in the future... The most important part of the offensive team improvement will be the play of the OL... Get them crushing people like a good OL should and you will see a major improvement in the offensive stats... If you cant see this then you are a) blind b) ranter c) negatiger d) whiner e) never played football f) wished you were more than just the waterboy g) know absolutely nothing about football h) all of the above

Which one is it?

Quaterback play will improve. JJ will be outstanding before he is done. However, until we get our OL and DL beating Alabama's OL and DL then we will continue to be left out of the Championships. This was McClendon's downfall all those years. We'd get beat up front whenever we played Bama. And I only use Bama as a benchmark because it looks like they are returning to the smash mouth style of the Bear.

I agree with you... After all, the difference between us and bama is the line play and that is it...

Once you break it down and simplify it, you need to hold a clinic. You'd make millions.

On topic: I can't really disagree with your optimism though.

i don't think you forgot at all, i just don't think you possess the tools to see things objectively

fact is, we were closer to losing at Miss St, at UGA and against Arkansas (OT), then we were to beating UF, Bama and Ole Miss

that is an unarguable fact

do YOU know anything?

That is the single BIGGEST and most complex reason Championship teams excel.

Sometimes you have to simplify things for people on this board because they cant quantify anything... they start shooting from the hip and dont know where to point the blame... Better OL means MUCH better offensive statistics

Line play (esp. oline) is like a golf swing. You need ALL the components to jive in order to be successful. One fails, the whole swing is out the door and you duff a shot. Skill positions can survive on improv, but the oline must grade out high enough as a UNIT to be effective.

Hell, I could have put Bill Fralic, John Hannah, Anthony Munoz, Eric Andolsek, Alan Faneca, or Kevin Mawae on this year's line and the out put would have been similar.

results are what counts...style points are for little girls and the blithering idiots on espn.
you talk like a quitter...are you? if so...find another team you like better cause Miles isn't going anywhere and LSU is on the rise.

of course...bandwagon jumping is multi-directional, isn't it?

Not a fact but your opinion.... scores alone do not tell us how close we were to winning a game... Coaches dont just evaluate by a score... thay break down plays, blocks, injuries, etc... only fans break down the scores... again which one were you?

I am in doubt of Miles due to the obvious coaching decisions on Saturday......I am not involved daily to know if he could improve in that area (development) so that won't be weighed in my judgement. JJ's has lacked judgement on the obvious, so it may lead me to wonder though.

I am waiting for 2010 before any flaming from my camp.
