LINK

It had one original owner according to the car-fax and it was sold at auction and put up for sale on 9/11.

I test drove it yesterday and it is in great condish.

I'm thinking of offering $22,000.00

What say you?

I'm actually in the market for the same type of vehicle right now, but a 2007/2008 Tahoe possibly.

I don't think they'll go for the $22K offer.

Auction value on a similarly equipped vehicle with 50K plus miles is in the $20K range. It may have been a few hundred dollars higher in September. I don't think your offer of $22K is unreasonable at all. That doesn't mean they'll take it of course, but they'd still be making money.

This is what I was thinking, but what the frick do I know.

I guess it won't hurt to offer it and see what happens.

Keep us posted. I'm definitely interested to see how this pans out and what kind of a deal they work for you.

Definitley keep us posted. Maybe they need an auto message board.
I'm interested in an 8-seater Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna van 2005 or newer.
I only want to pay around Kelly Blue book trade-in price. Everytime I have had really nice trade-ins, they always offered me significantly lower than kelly's trade-in value, so i know that price is significantly higher than a person would receive from a dealer.

On that Yukon I would probably set a firm limit at 23,500 or so. Definitely don't pay over 24.

I don't know if this will help, but I just got a new Tahoe at AllStar. I traded in my 05' loaded Tahoe with 54k miles on it. They gave me $16,750 for the trade and are selling it right now for $19,980. If they are trying to get $26k, They probably paid around $22k for it.

I saw yours...It's in great shape too...I wish I could get the wife to want it...she wants the 07 or later body style.

Did you have any problems with that 05 you traded?

I would wait till the end of the month or closer to it when they want to push iron. 22k isn't a bad offer it just depends on what they have in it and how long its been sitting on the lot eating up floorplan interest. Make the offer and don't let them 4 square you.
