Took my nine year old daughter and we both loved it. Disney could've gotten preachy but they handled many of the realities of race in the 1920s very well by making Tiana a strong, self reliant woman rather than a victim.

is this the first actual cartoon that disney has done in awhile? I dont remember seeing any previews for anything but pixar like movies for the past 5+ years.
