Some Holliday for the Holidays?

Is there any chance we might actually get to see Trindon Holliday play some football in this bowl game?
I thought there must be something behind it all, then heard the quote during the Arkansas game that the staff felt it better to keep him fresh for special teams duties - aka KICK returner.
I have had no greater frustration this season than seeing #8 on the sideline, getting less than a handful of touches per game. He'll turn a 2 yard loss into a 2 yard gain. He's the only back with speed to get to the corner, he's tough to bring down... I just want to see what happens if he gets 15+ carries in a single game. If I had any clout I would challenge the coaching staff to try that...
Quick guess as to how many carries he had this SEASON? 23 - not in rhythm, mostly as gadgets, etc. Still popping 5/per. Then to see they'd rather start a FULLback (I don't care how he's listed, Ridley is a Fullback, and I love the kid, but let's face it, he's no Jacob Hester) instead of the speedy Holliday vs. Arkansas, it was obvious to me that we have at best, the 6th best coaching staff in the conference. Imagine Holliday at Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina, or even Kentucky... you know what, put him on any other team in the country and tell me he gets so few carries!?
I want some Holliday for the Holidays!!!
Whew - thanks gang... I feel better already.

What?

You don't see him more because he's not strong compared to the average runner and he can't break arm tackles, so there's more risk than reward in using him as a back. His duties being limited to kick and punt returner is fine because that's where he can succeed the most.

Fullbacks usually don't shoulder the load, so I think he's a running back

Ridley was recruited as a fullback - they've gone away from the need, thus I give it to you, he's a running back... His ability is that of a prototypical FB. Great running back, don't get me wrong...
But how can you state Holliday can't break arm tackles... go back and look at his 23 carries on the season.
And if that's the reason he doesn't get more touches, fine, say it - but don't say you want to keep him fresh for KR duty.

If I remember right I'm pretty sure most thought he'd be switched to linebacker.

I agree with you that on Florida's team (Urban Meyer stated that #8 scared him more than any other Tiger) Trindon Holiday gets many more touches.
Let's bring on Mr. Holiday for the Holidays.

God for bid that the coachig staff should cause YOU frustration.
Holliday doesn't get a lot of caries for a reason. His size. Period. He is a niche player. They all are. There are specific playes designed to take advantage of each player's talents. Now really, do you want to see that little guy handle the ball in a dive play? Could he move the pile on a fourth and one?
He's exciting and doing exactly what he does best.
