The 2010 LSU football Schedule will be the toughest Schedule in at least 10 years

They could face 8 person top 25 team including 4 top 10 teams.

It will be very tough I agree. I think we can beat West Virginia and UNC. Tennessee will be a really tough early season test.

2006 was pretty tough. We played three top five teams and another top ten team on the road that year.

Good. Our team doesn't show up against Vandy of La. Tech anyways. Let's push ourselves.

it really shouldn't be a problem....at all.

no matter how good they are, if they only have 8 guys on the field and we have 11 then we should be able to create some mismatches.

Which 4 Top 10 Teams?
Florida
Bama
and.....

UNC, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Arkansas will all probably be in that 15-25 range though.

Auburn will probably be ranked right outside Top 25 in the 26-35 Range so who am I missing?

How quickly you forget who the offensive coordinator is.

i am assuming that they can use the sideline as a 9th and 10th man with contain assignments when we run the option to the short side of the field, but i have faith we can still break one BIG for a 9 yard gain.

Tennessee actually won't be quite as good next year as 2009.

They lose like 8 starters on offense and 6 or 7 on defense (assuming eric berry leaves).

Based on names, it would be hard to top the 1988 schedule:

Texas A&M
@Tennessee
@Ohio State
@Florida
Auburn

That was the first 5 games to start the season. Later on...

Alabama
Miami

The other 4 games were Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Tulane.

By the way, we went 8-3 against that schedule, 6-1 in the SEC, sharing the SEC title with Auburn, whom we beat head to head.

I'm bummed about us playing UWV and UNC. I'd much rather play North Texas and New Mexico State—they're easy wins that pad our record and inflate our rep on paper. In fact, if we just played 12 cupcakes we'd be 12-0. Undefeated!

frick that shite. Bring on the 'eers and UNC.

LSU was the 2nd team in NCAA history to play 4 top 10 teams on the road (actually four top 8 teams). I'm going to go with that one.

Signatures need to be bigger. I want this whole exchange saved for all time.

It's not that terrible. It's a lot like 2007's schedule with a bunch of mid-level ranked (15-25) teams.
