Retarded post..

IF Houston had a great defense. IF cincinatti had a great defense.

IF Bama still had JPW.

IF lsu would have stopped the qk screen to Julio, knocked tebow out the game early, and got the field goal team on the field with 1 second left.

IF IF IF.

IF eastern michigan would have had the best offense, and best defense in the nation, they would be the best team

I don't think it is that retarded of a question. I just said if Nebraska had a little bit better than average offense (which isn't unreasonable), would they be the best team in the nation? They have quite possibly one of the worst offenses in the nation. Look at their 4 losses...

Virginia Tech 15-16
Iowa State 7-9
Texas Tech 10-31
Texas 12-13

-The Iowa State loss had to do with their 7 (yes I said 7) fumbles.
-Virginia Tech scored with 21 seconds left to win
-The Texas Tech loss may look bad, but one touchdown came from a 90 yard fumble recovery for a TD. Texas Tech also scored a TD very late into the 4th quarter
-We all know what happened in the Texas game..

That said, they were pretty much in every single game the lost this season (and quite possibly should have won 3/4 - Iowa State, Virginia Tech, and Texas). It's not like they were being blown out. If they would have an average offense, I would argue that they would be the best team in the nation. And that's just an AVERAGE offense. I'm not asking for the best offense in the nation...the USC of 2004, Florida and Florida State's of the 90's etc, just an average offense. I don't think this post is that unreasonable.
