lol you're welcome

f we run away with the Penn State game, I will say that this year is better
people care way too much about bowl games, imo. If you're disappointed with the way the team plays for 12 weeks, how does one performance against a team from a conference that we ALL say is overrated make up for that?

We should have beat that team by double digits.
Iowa had won over 30 games 2002-2004. At the time Ferentz was one of the hottest names in coaching.
This isn't about defending Saban. If he had handled the situation better, we probably would have beaten Iowa. The point is 2004 was not a terrible season and LSU was at the time in a very good position relative to the rest of the SEC and certainly the West.

That was my point by saying it was mediocre (sarcasm). If that year wasn't mediocre, than this year wasn't either. Everyone wants to throw out words like downslide, average, decline....and of course only want to look at the last 2 years. But if you look at JUST the last 2 years, we did not take a downward turn. It may have been ugly, but we still got better. Hired a real D-Coord, 2 less losses during the regular season, and now hopefully (yet to be seen) a move on the offensive side of the ball. Anyone who thinks things can be fixed in one season are crazy. We all wish it could be, but it can't. Noone really expected to lose less than 3 games this year, but when they saw how well some of the players were playing at the beginning of the season, they got their hopes up. Now they are suddenly disappointed and need someone to blame it on. I agree that Miles screwed up the OM game, but outside of that one, it really wasn't that bad of a season. I look for next year to be a good year. Theres too many people here that actually wish for the future to be bad so they can finally say they were right about Miles.
