We were one horrible interception call away from possibly beating the best team in the nation
Alabama destroyed Florida. They were clearly 100% the better team this year. A blown call doesn't change that.

We were a couple dozen no holding calls away from having a shot at Florida.
Florida played keep away, had one of their least inspired performances ever, and still beat us comfortably in Tiger Stadium. We almost literally did nothing on offense the entire game. Holding calls wouldn't have made any difference.

Ole Miss was a disastor but steps are being taken to fix the problem
You can't fix stupid. We may not lose in that exact same way again, but it's a bit of a stretch to think that the coach who orchestrated that particular fiasco won't screw up similarly in the future. It's not like he just made a bad call. He was inexplicably clueless.

What exactly should be done, in your opinion?
Talk about it in a light-hearted fashion with your friends and with strangers on a message board and hope that we get lucky next year.

Fire the third winningest coach in school history because he hasn't won the toughest conference title on the planet every year?
No, but be fair. Miles has been to the SECCG twice in 5 years after inheriting what you and everybody else thought was one of the best-positioned programs in the country. We have been pretty bad for 2 years now. At some point very soon he has to produce a team that, whether or not it wins a championship, is legitimately considered a top team.

At 9-3, I would say they were a medicore team at best when he inherited them.

Mack Brown and Colt McCoy almost suffered the same fate in a much bigger game than that, the replay was the only thing that saved them. Isn't UT one of your "elite" programs? Bill Belichick is one of the best in all of football and he has made some dumb call the last couple of weeks. It happens, let it go.
