I got the fish n chips. Very good. Though it said it came w/ sweet pot fries and we got idahoe fries. The aioleee or however u spell it was nice n spicy. There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu that looked good. My friends got the urger and oyster poboy and though they said they were good I wouldnt reccommend them. Table next to us got the mahi mahi and it looked delicious. I almost got it...

The manager was on top of his game. Our waiter...not so much.

They give you hush puppies w/ a tomato aiolee as your bread (I cant spell that word) and they were excellent. I am defintely going back to try the other items.

It is much more like a restaurant than a bar. Kinda competing w/ Rum House.

sweet. It has been packed when we have passed. The space is perfect. It is begging for a good restaurant.

Just curious, what is the price range? Is it expensive, dressy seafood place or casual neighborhood type place?

I'd say entrees were 15-23 (nothing more than $23) and apps were around 6-8. My friends and I all went in jeans and button downs/sweaters/etc.

Hahah! yeah, was a bit high for "fish and chips" but I enjoyed every bit of it.

Does it taste better than a normal granola bar? I doubt it... There werent the kind of fish n chips you get at the lil shop on the beach in Australia or a pub in England.

ETA: but yes, $12 would have been more appropriate

I went to this place Saturday. Used to be the old Semolina uptown. It has been open for a few weeks now and boy do they need some help!

The hush puppies in that sauce as the appetizer were awesome! I wish I would have gotten more.

I ordered a Guinness and I had to wait 10 minutes before I could drink it... learn to pour it.

I ordered the fish and chips and the lady ordered some Monte Cristo type sandwich. The fish and chips were horrible. Way too much batter and after a few bites, I felt like my arteries were going to clog. I'm from Louisiana, and love unhealthy LA food, but this was excessive. I seriously felt like washing my face after eating it was so disgustingly greasy... very little "fish." It came with sweet potato fries, which were overcooked but decent.

The lady's grease sandwich was better than my fish and chips, but I'd prefer any bar food across the street at The Bulldog over what we had.

Way overpriced and they need some professional experience in the kitchen.

I give this place a D-. I have not been so displeased with a dining experience in quite some time.
