Do you guys think that our fans have adopted the "BCS or Bust" mentality, so that many people consider the season a failure of sorts unless we go to a Tier 1 bowl game?

Not necessarily. The season is a failure if we fall far short of accomplishing any of our goals, look like shite in doing so, and lose one or more games that we shouldn't without winning any that we shouldn't.

9-3 isn't automatically bad every year. It sucked balls this year. And I don't care if you're 11 and fricking 1, you don't lose a game like we did against Ole Miss and have a good coach or a successful season.

it doesn't appear that LSU fans have much desire to travel to the Capital One Bowl

LSU football right now offers no promise of excitement or success in the future. When that is the case, interest fades. What bowl we're in has nothing to do with it. If we had somehow snagged an at-large bid to the Fiesta Bowl or something, I suspect people would feel pretty much the same as they do now.

As long as LSU is in the SEC and the BCS only allows a maximum of 2 teams from each conference to go tosa BCS bowl game, anyone with a "BCS or Bust" mentality is setting themselves up for disaapointment.

Well if you dont think you are getting what you pay for, please be my guest and give up those tickets so someone else can buy them.

I'm not down about the cap one bowl. I'm pretty stoked about seeing LSU take on PennState. What I'm not enthused about is how LSU got there. A bunch of ugly wins over mediocre-to-crappy teams with little "to no" offensive improvement along the way.

There, added a little to it but you hit the nail on the head. If we continue to play within 2, 3 or 4 points of MSU, OM, and Ark and lose to Fla and/or Bammer each year, you aren't going to generate much enthusiasm. 10-3 may look great at season's end but it was a pothole-filled road we took to get there.

It certainly seems as if the "shine" has worn off of Miles as far as most LSU fans are concerned. Not even an invite to a pretty damn good bowl against a worthy opponent is enough to salvage what many feel is a mediocre year.

I believe some people on here downplay the Capitol One Bowl against Penn State to push their "i hate Miles" agenda.

No, we've adopted a "have a good looking and executing team" or bust mentality.

Krypto i knew someone would put up that exact post. If ur satisfied with this season then you dont expect much. I will never give my tickets up and will always support the tigers in all sports, but if lsu wants to be an elite football school we cant have shite happen like what happen at ole miss. I was there and it was embarrasing. Your not a good team when your best road win is against a team thats playing in shreveport.

I think it's beyond that. I think its NC or bust. The good thing about this is that it sets higher expectations, which will raise the standard of play. On the other hand, it gets annoying.
