Awesome. And expected.

Glad someone enjoyed it.

There are so many things wrong with this post, I don't know where to start. People whose only argument revolves around cliched adjectives (like moxie) usually have no argument at all and little knowledge of football altogether.

I'll give you time to point things out. To be fair, I took quite a while typing my post. I understand you disagree with me in terms of just about everything, but to my credit, I backed nearly everything up with facts. So I can conclude that most of what you said has little or no merit at all. Nothing personal.

quote:

And aside from the racial stereotypes

I fail to see any racial stereotypes. Can you point those out for me?

quote:

many of the strengths that you listed for Flynn were actually his weaknesses.

Pretty sure I would have listed them under weaknesses then. Just saying.

quote:

Russell was also more of a pocket passer than Flynn, and he rarely ran.

Okay, you might be partially correct here. I apologize.

quote:

I mean Jesus Christ, do you have any idea what you're talking about?

I do in fact have an idea of what I'm talking about, seeing as how I am the one talking about what I'm talking about. I don't see where you are going with this?

so his idiotic and slanted list of his PERSONAL OPINIONS (which are so off its not even funny, otherwise matty flynn wouldve been a first round pick) on the two are facts? the ACTUAL STATS were listed in JRs favor and he wanted those thrown out so he could give us his stupid moxie speech.

Matt Flynn would have been a better first round pick than JR, and there's no denying that.

Only you know where you live, mattz1122. As far as playing jokes...this is a serious discussion.

considering all the great intangibles and favre-like qualities flynn brought to the table, why are his stats worse? guess that moxie is a bunch of horseshite.

Keep pimping his stats, bro. They didn't win him a NC and they surely didn't make him a good NFL QB.

You realize the day Flynn leaves GB he's going to get a starting job somewhere and succeed, right?

You're seriously going to go on passing yards, completion percentage, touchdowns, and interceptions to rate one quarterback's worth over another? And you say my logic is "poor"?

right, its logically better to compare players based on moxie. that said, i believe that jarret lee is actually a better qb than colt mccoy. his stats suck, but that doesnt matter, because he has more moxie and is probably more articulate than colt.

Uh, Colt McCoy is the winningest QB in CFB history. Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about and frankly your JR opinion is null and void.

While my journal is indeed composed of my opinions, I can assure you each opinion is comprised of hours upon hours of deep intellectual thoughts of which I have backed up with facts, creating in essence, facts.

I realize Matt Flynn was not chosen in the first round. Those are just the facts. Just because Russell was chosen higher than Flynn is simply irrelevant. This is because sometimes the most valuable players are overlooked.

If you don't believe me, just look at Marcus Colston. Need I say more? Of course not.

That could not be farther from the truth. If the "ACTUAL STATS" were listed in Russell's favor, I would have spoken more highly of him. You cant deny Flynn's moxie, I cited professionals who agree with me wholeheartedly.

I can agree with that

If you read my original post and comprehended most of it, you probably understood I'm looking past all these conformist stats we've all been brainwashed by, and looking deeper, into what really separates a quarterback from the rest, moxie.

I agree 100%.

If you're talking about NFL potential, I probably agree. As of now, Lee hasn't shown much of anything. I know he has a ton of talent, though.

but that doesnt matter, because he has more moxie and is probably more articulate than colt.

I understand you don't have a strong grasp on moxie and that's understandable. I can tell you that Lee does not have more moxie than Colt. As far as being more articulate, it's debatable.

And let me mention that I think you all will see a brand new Jarret Lee, if he does in fact transfer. I see it being much like Brad Lidge, when he made his glorious return with the Phillies after a dismal year with the Astros. Lee needs a new surrounding with new people who utilize his skills effectively.
