How are they compared as of running styles and speed? Both have put up big numbers in highschool. Who is the better all around back?

Ford.

Hilliard is a bigger version of Charles Scott. (He is a mountain)

EDIT: I didn't look at Hilliard's size/weight but I'd assume he is in the 6'1 230-240 range...as a junior in high school.

Ford is more of a slasher..one cut and go kind of guy

Hilliard runs everything you put in front of him over.

I have seen Hillard play this year, he is a beast. The best I have seen in HS in years. Lets hope he is a Tiger in 2011.

He is listed on Rivals page at 6'0 218, but the data is not confirmed.

He will be 230+ as a RB at LSU.

Hilliard is about 6'0 215 to 225.

where do people come up with these crazy numbers.

Hilliard is plenty big enough now and will add another 15-20 pounds on his frame. They way he runs the ball and catches passes out the backfield I would be stunned if he plays linebacker. I think that would be crazy to take Louisiana's best running back and put him at linebacker. Let's move Mike Davis to conerback? (just kidding) I am not saying Hilliard can't play linebacker, but why would you take this weapon away from the offense?

people act like we have the depth at RB to even do this.....

We have Ford (FR), Murphy (JR), and Ridley (SO) on the team right now and Blue in this recruiting class atm.

So after next season we will have
Ridley (SR)
Ford (RS SO)
Blue (RS FR)

There is no way we move Hilliard to LB.
Hilliard and Hill will probably be our combo of backs for 3 straight years if they both end up at LSU.

I followed my post with his listed numbers at 218.

230 is not absurd at all by the time he actually steps on the field at LSU (assuming he comes to LSU).

This is why LA never puts out any premium talent at LB.

All the best RBs stick solely to offense.

Hilliard is in the 220 range, and much more of an all around back than a Charles Scott. Ford may be stronger, his bench press is out of this world. But Hilliard is very versatile, not just a big back. And he SHOULD NOT move to linebacker!!
