We've hit a two-year slump, which not coincidentally has coincided with inexperience at the QB position and the transition in the defensive coaching staff. This kind of stuff happens....in ANY program. I look for us to be in the thick of the SEC and BCS races over the next couple of years as the QB situation stabilizes and the D gets more familiar with Chavis' scheme. But the SEC West is becoming the most competitive division in college football. There will no longer be any "gimme" games in the division, and a lot of anyone's success in any given year will depend on which East teams they play.

really guys? we cant have some faith in our beloved Tigers? Im sure that everybody on here was expecting a 13-1 year in 2003 correct? Or how bout 12-2 in 2007 with an incredibly hard schedule? have some god damn faith, cheer ur asses off for dear old LSU, and we can do this again... We were beating that bama team that u have already named king of the world through 3 quarters of football on the road... LSU can do this, and i have every confidence that next season will be a return to glory... go ahead and rip me apart, but at least i can truly say

This is the fact that the "sky is falling" crowd seems to disregard. Yes, Saban has Bama playing at a high level, but if you look around, everyone in the west has improved, and this will make for some real dogfights in the coming years. If Bama rolls through the SEC next year undefeated, then I'll be ready to crown them as the new Superpower in the SEC.
