I'm not sure why the Ole Miss game matters anymore, but for argument's sake, the ref did take his sweet time stopping the clock after Tolliver hit the ground for the first down. I was so mad at LSU for its brain farting that I couldn't pin it on the refs. Officials have never cost a team a game it didn't have a fair chance to win in spite of their blunders. Let's not lose sight of the fact that LSU was outplayed by Ole Miss for most of the game, and would have owed a thank-you prayer if a victory had come about. The 9-3 season without ever getting brains beat out was a step forward (actually a remarkable achievement for an offense ranked near the bottom) and the Outback Bowl against Penn State ain't such a bad gig.
