Get to say that to all the Vikings fans around here. When you say it like he did... wow. They mess up, crowd gets lowder, Drew makes you pay, defense makes more turnovers, Drew makes you pay again. Three headed monster runs out the clock, add another TD. Game over.

Third, the Browns clean house and hire Eric Mangini, who takes that same house and sets it on fire with a flame thrower.

...on if Saints and Colts are 18-0 in SB...

As Bloomington reader Mike Shawgo points out: "Should this happen, they should give the 1972 Dolphins their own suite so that the broadcast can periodically cut to them looking longingly at the champagne they will never again get to open. Let's start making a big deal out of this to give both the Colts and Saints some incentive to keep it going even after they clinch home-field advantage. You can now bash your head into your desk, because I'm sure I just reminded you of David Tyree."

Here's hoping!

Got to disagree with this:
quote:

No 2009 NFL player is more valuable than Peyton Manning. And by the way, he's the only opponent who could have swayed Belichick into that fourth-and-2 call.

I think Brees could do some "swaying" after his MNF performance.

He "swayed" Belichick into giving up with 5 minutes left.

He didn't knock our running game, he said we don't have anything resembling Marshall Faulk and we don't. I don't see what's wrong with that. Pierre and Bell are great, but I don't think they scare people like in his prime Faulk is his point.

He misses the fact that the Rams never had a power running game, while the Saints do. Maybe the Rams did, but Martz didn't exactly like to run the ball.

Belichick beat the Rams two years later basically bc Martz forgot to run the ball.

With the way Carl Nicks is dominating people, the Saints running game is going to be tough to stop.

Should it happen, I'm sure the '72 Dolphins would be there with the champagne, and would graciously raise their glasses to toast the winners to say.............Welcome to the club. Well done!
