hell, i bet his ability to pull maclin is a big reason why he got the job

I honestly think Porter will continue to promote LSU to him even now that he is gone because LSU basically got him the Memphis job because of his success here... I say this all in a very hoping manner though

do you mean maclin type players or maclin specifically?

cause hiring a head coach in order to sign one 4 star DE/LB tweener is pretty idiotic.

Porter is too smart for this, IMHO. He won't stab Miles in the back, because if he does, it will hurt his recruiting in LA in the future. For all of his faults, Miles has a pretty good hold on the state (and yes, I do know that Porter is a big reason why, but Miles is still the head man). If he keeps that good relationship, Porter knows that he can cash in down the line and clean up LSU's leftovers in the state. Those players, combined with a few good local players (there aren't many here) are good enough to make Memphis a contender in C-USA.
