Yeah, I'm bringing it up again. Why has the #1 dual threat QB out of high school not thrown a pass yet this year? He has been in on way too many plays not to throw one. Don't give me any b.s. saying he doesnt know the playbook. The dude has been here since the spring.

"We are opening up more plays in the offense for him" ie halfback dives with him lined up at tailback. What more can u want out of him, thats a great use of his talents.

It was his decision. He has seen what it's like to play QB at this level, and has given up the notion of ever doing it. He is focused on being what he is now, but more and more involved as he gains experience.

I completely agree with letting him run but you cant tell me he would be ten times more lethal if we let him air it out once outta maybe 15-20 touches

I agree. when he is in there every team knows that the play call is... did anyone see what mccluster did... why the hell has shep not been given the option to do this???

I agree! This is one of the biggest waste of talent I've seen in a long time and they have not let him have a chance to make a difference in a game yet this year. I know he is thinking why in the hell did I come here. Even if he is having trouble with the play book...you still give him a handful of plays that he is comfortable with and let him do what he does best.

Thought so but wasnt sure. I am ok with him being used as the Wildcat QB or lining him up at rb or wr but give him some type of run/pass option or hb pass. HE CAN THROW.

I'll probably get flamed for this but how many times has Shep come into the game and been confused and not know where to line up and then have to call a timeout because of this indecision. I mean the guy has been here since January, participated in Spring drills, Spring game, summer workouts, fall camp, and this entire season, and he still made this mistake in the Ole Miss game. This and the fumbles he's had is my opinion for why he hasn't seen the field more than he has. Oh, and he's a freshman, and we all know how Miles loves his upperclassmen...

What is this fascination with him throwing the ball. It's not like our record would be any different.

We need to use Shepard like a Harvin or McCluster. That is where LSU failed this year.

Didnt McCluster throw it once on us and what happened.

Shep does look confused SOME times he comes in but Hell so does most of the team bc we either cant get the play in on time or others dont know what they are doing. How many times has he fumbled? And even if he is confused your telling me we cant have him throw it ONE time. Is is that hard to remember....run right on the option step back and throw?

Right, but it's not like they use him as a QB. Shep will probably throw at some point, but it will be just like this.

He is now 1-6 with 1 TD and 2 INTs in his career. Hooray.

Shepard's value to this team is not throwing passes.

IDC if the use him as a qb but you have to let him throw. Everytime he touches the ball the other team knows its a run and until we prove them wrong he going to get a whole lot more 1 and 2 yd runs instead of more big breakaways

OK, I can agree with that. Just give up on him ever being a true QB at LSU.

Im gonna take a stab and say shep would throw it better than that.

You cannot sit here and tell me we wouldnt be better off if he didnt throw the ball minimum 2-3 times a YEAR with possible all being big pass plays which makes the defense think
