I'd take Butch Davis
What is the fascination with Butch Davis? He didn't win anything at Miami. Although he seemingly set things up nicely for Coker, we'll never know how he would have done if he had stayed there longer. He was terrible in the NFL. He hasn't been anything special at North Carolina.
I can think of several coaches I would pick over Davis.

So you link 4 messageboards?
Did you just good "Miles throwing LSU QB under bus"? Because you have no quotes in those of Miles throwing a player under the bus. Just posters on a fricking messageboard. Do you even know what throwing a player under a bus means?

While he wouldn't be my first choice for a head coach here..... wow, just fricking wow, can't even describe how ignorant your statement was/is.

He won quite a few football games and coached quite a few players to successful NFL careers. He did a lot at Miami considering the trouble he walked into there.
He's doing a fine job at UNC. He's coaching football in the middle of basketball country. Getting people to show up for the game is an accomplishment in itself. He's a damn good coach.

Wow, just effing wow - you're brilliant. What was Butch Davis' record at Miami? What was his record in the NFL? What's his record at North Carolina?

“We talked about runs,” he said. “We didn’t want to turn it over. Frankly, we lost a runner (Keiland Williams to a broken ankle), and we were down to Stevan, who in my opinion would probably have done a great job with that carry. I felt like the quarterback could manage the situation, and that was my mistake.
“We were throwing balls that should well have been incompletions. If he steps back there to throw, understands the situation, if it’s not open, let it go. He’s trying to keep the play alive and puts us in the initial issue. We were close enough to kick the field goal at that point, even though a long one.”

Him saying it was "his mistake" is throwing a kid under the bus?
You are grasping. Try not to let JJ's nuts get in your way here, coaches say things like that all the time.

i think there is a HC opening at Nicholls St?
Miles would fit in very well in Thibodeaux.

I think ND would take them...I mean Miles can't be much worse than Charley Wiess
