Miles said he likes the play calls

Just listened to the interview on the Advocate's web page, he really is a clueless, stubborn, man. He never said we should have run then kicked the field goal. We are now the laughing stock of college football way to go Les

You bring a different angle to what has been said already.

I've been hoping that the only reason Miles has been making comments like this, past and present, is in the name of being cordial and diplomatic towards his OC. If he really believes that, then it turns out that he is just as much of the problem as Crowton and needs to be gone sooner rather than later. We'll only know for sure during the offseason. If he cans Crowton then he was just being respectful with his comments. If not, then Les is complicit in this atrocity of an offense.

I remember hearing everybody bash this guy, with his previous poster name as well as this one, saying he was one of the worst posters on this site and I always wondered where the hate came from. After coming across his posts frequently over the span of the last year or so, I now understand why.

The ONLY problem I have with this is the Catch-22 nature of it. If Miles disagrees with the play-calling publicly, some see that as "throwing someone under the bus". If Miles agrees with the way things were handled, he's faulted for "being complicit". Not by you, mind you. I'm just saying...

Les Scruples and his stupid arse coach talk.

I'm not a Les-lover, but if he said he didn't like the play calls, we'd accuse him of throwing his assistants under the bus.

You do realize I was being sarcastic right?

Oh I agree entirely, which is why I'm not bashing Miles for these statements. He did essentially the same thing last year during the season with his co-DC's and then made the move in the offseason, though he still never threw them under the bus as he made it seem as though they just moved to other jobs, but it's clear he forced the issue.
As bad of game day coach as Miles may be at times and whatever else people want to criticize him for regarding his coaching abilities, he's class all the way.

Yes, clearly. The point is that you're a douchebag with minimal contribution. What was the fricking point of your post? It's a message board, people come here to discuss their take. Things are going to get discussed and said that have already been said by others at some point.

dont you people ever get tired of being wrong? Miles said the same things last year about the D and you all crucified him until he did exactly what you said he would never do. are you really this dumb?

It's really about venting, damn near every thing posted is talked about somewhere so for myself I am trying to lower my blood pressure and release my frustrations, so I could care less what Oweo thinks are says in return. I am very worried now about our national perception and how it will effect prize recruits.

ARe you intentionally gearing this statement towards me? If so, maybe you need to go back and reread my posts.

Miles will make the move with Crowton at the end of the year, and unfortunately for Crowton, it is the correct move.
The OC is responsible for much that has gone wrong this year - no continuity, no real QB development, and poor play-calling in critical and obvious situations. The lack of "time of possession", total yardage, etc. has also weighed heavily on our defense, which toward the end of the year, will buckle from being on the field too long - prime example is what happened with OU at TT on Saturday. OU's offense has not been quite as anemic as LSU's, but they play in a conference with generally weaker defenses. Bottom line, their offensive ineptitude finally dragged down their very good defense late in the year.
I don't believe Miles liked the play calls - he's being kind to Crowton before he lets him go.
