And basically pull all offensive responsibility and game management away from LM? Miles will be back, and Crowton gone... The reality is Miles has always done a good job of recognizing his shortcomings and hiring people to make up for his small skillset. Hence the comparisons that LM runs his team like a CEO and refrains from micromanaging. What OCs across the country, if any, could sit on the sidelines and control the entire offensive handling and management? I'll hang up and listen.

You are saying that LSU needs to find an OC that is good enough to do the job of both HC and OC during times in which LSU has the ball. I agree that LSU needs that.

However, if Coach Miles is left with the decision with regard to replacing Crowton, I doubt that Coach Miles would hire somebody who is as capable fulfilling all of the above requirements.

That's exactly what I'm saying. However I have to disagree with you. After this blunder, I think Miles will go for someone that costs over $500k and can "do it all." I don't think Miles is as prideful as people think. He really does do a good job of recognizing his ineptitude, stepping back, and allowing his staff (in various capacities) handle game preparation and management. Am I giving him too much credit?
