no they didn't .. the clock doesn't start on the snap .. you do realize this .. right ?? after a first down, the clock stops for the chains to move, as soon as the ball is set for play .. the clock starts .. not on the snap .. the FG unit should have been standing on the sideline BEFORE the 4th down play and run on immeidately .. should have been lined up and ready before the football got there .. then snap it the instant it is put down on the whistle .. instead, jefferson's looking over at the sideline .. the kid should have seen :01 on the clock and known he couldn't clock the ball in that spot .. last night wasn't his first football game ..

I'm not sure what you're getting at... We didn't get a play off. As soon as they set the ball ready for play, they start the clock, and then you can snap it. We did not snap it before they whistled the game over.

But anyway, it's pointless to go back and forth on this because I do agree with Polar that despite us not getting the spike off, the spike was called by someone, which is inexcusable.

I wasn't making a "major" point, I just wanted to point out that the last play never happened. Many casual fans may think we actually spiked the ball, which did not actually happen.

what i am getting at is the outside possibility that there was :01.7 or so left on the clock .. you snap it the instant you hear the whistle ..

You are simply looking for anything to deflect from your 'fantastic' coach. Epic fail yet again.
