does not mean we have to settle for mediocrity now.

once again what is mediocre about being 8-2 and #10 in the country?

Well, let's see....

LSU beat Vandy, ULL, Miss St, Tulane and La Tech.

Five of the eight wins were against teams that other teams seek out for Homecoming games.

LSU beat Wash, Ga, and Aub.

These are average, to above-average, teams.

LSU lost to Fla and Ala.

These are elite teams.

So LSU has proven to be above average this season. No better.

LSU is the underdog at Ole Miss. If those in the know are correct and LSU loses to Ole Miss, then LSU will be 3-3 against teams that don't absolutely blow - and just 2-3 against bowl-eligible teams.

I'd say that pretty much describes mediocre.
