Few things you need to know.. I'll also be taking questions.
1.) Alcohol in the Grove - Laws state you cant have beer, but you CAN have liquor.. They do not enforce this law, keep it in a cup and dont wave your beer/or liquor bottle around in the wide open, you'll be fine. Basically just observe to cup rule.
2.) Icechests must have locks on them if they are going to be left UNATTENDED during the game. IF you have someone at the tent and your icechest is their without a lock it will be fine.
3.) Parking on campus is limited. Get their early and you'll get a spot. Dorm lots around the Union are clutch but hard to come by. You can play the make a spot game but watch out for no parking signs, especially around shrubs and flower beds, your car WILL be towed. Worse case parking - Park in the old Oxford Mall/New movie theater. Its directly across from the first entrance to campus off Jackson Ave.
4.) The square will definitely be the place to be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Most bars will have large crowds so be prepared for that.
5.) I would advise you NOT to drink and drive. They really enforce that here. Taxis are available. If that can be avoided I would go with that route. Directly after the game, you have a better chance of getting away with it so dont freak about it.
Thats all I got off the top of my head right now.

What's early? We talking 9:00 or before the sun rises?

9:00 should be good. After 10 it'll start backing up. Before the sun rise is overkill.

What's the rationale? That seems retarded.

Very retarded. I think their logic was that most students would be drinking beer; but, their logic is wrong. Mississippi has some stupid arse blue laws. Also, you can't buy cold beer in Oxford unless you're at a bar or restaurant. If you are runnning low on beer coming into town from Batesville, you'll need to stop at Pete's One stop to get cold beer.

If you get in the 21 bars, then you are most likely good to go but ABC does make their appearance but you can usually evade them. 18 and up bars is where you would need to look out.
They dont ID in the grove.

can you please give me some clarity on a few things [i have recieved so much conflicting information on this board this week - mainly by a bunch of angry LSU fans who obviously hate Ole Miss and anything related to Ole Miss].
1. if i plan on setting up in the Grove, do you think it is okay for me to plan on drinking beer as a [primary] drink all day as long as I pour it in a cup and discard my trash in a trash bag proactively? or is it just safer to bring vodka etc??? how hard is it to discreetly drink beer. can't remember hiding my drinking since being in HS.
2. how am i supposed to lock an ice chest? never been faced with this delimna.
3. if i bring liquor, do i have to store it in a box under my table inbetween pours to be safe?
4. do i have to hide while pouring beer and liquor?
5. restroom situation in Grove?
6. no cooking in grove?
7. No music allowed?
thanks for your help bro. hope you enjoy your saturday. we are really looking forwrd to it.

many thanks, RebelNutt. This is my 2nd trip to Oxford and I can't wait. It is my favorite trip of the ones I have taken thus far.
By the way, I saw some young Tiger fans being relieved of a whole case of beer that they had not even opened. The guy was just carrying it and I assure there was no misbehavior involved. Evidently, it is not just that you cannot have an open container, you also cannot have unopened beer that is visible. At least that is how I remember it.
